There are so many couples to root for in Elite, but there are two characters everyone is hoping will finally get together in the upcoming season. Those characters are Samuel and Ari (Itzan Escamilla and Carla Díaz).
In Elite season 4, Samuel and Ari’s friendship starts off rocky before they realize there’s an attraction. But Ari is in a relationship with Guzmán, so things become complicated. By the end of the season, Ari ends up with no one, but it’s revealed that she really wants to be with Samuel.
Will they get together in Elite season 5? We’ll most likely find out when the season premieres. But people have begun to wonder if the reason why Itzan Escamilla and Carla Díaz have such strong on-screen chemistry is because they’re dating in real life.

As much as I would’ve liked to say that the Elite stars are dating, it’s just not true. Itzan Escamilla and Carla Díaz are just friends and co-stars who happen to have strong chemistry. There were rumors in the past that Itzan was dating former Elite co-star Ester Exposito (Carla), but those rumors were shut down.
It looks like Itzan is single. Like his fellow Elite co-stars, he prefers to keep his personal life and relationship status under wraps. He’s managed to keep a low profile despite the show’s popularity. If you scroll through his Instagram page, you won’t find any clues to who he could be dating. Apart from the Ester Expósito dating rumors, he’s only been rumored to be dating one other person. After posting a picture on his Instagram of him kissing a guy (a photo that is now deleted), people begin to speculate about his sexuality. But Itzan has never spoken about his sexuality or confirmed that the guy in the picture was his boyfriend. So we’ll just have to believe that he’s single.
Carla’s relationship status is unknown. She hasn’t been rumored to be in a relationship with anyone either. After searching all over her Instagram page, I couldn’t find any photos that would show that she’s romantically involved with someone. There is one photo of her kissing a guy, but it’s her Elite co-star Manu Rios. He appears to be single as well. Carla seems to be a private person, so we’ll probably never know if she is dating anyone. We’ll just have to believe that she’s single until there are rumors of her being in a relationship or she announces her relationship status herself.
