For months, fans have wondered what the teaser released at the tail-end of Firefly Lane season 2 part 1 means. The short video clip hinted that Tully (Katherine Heigl) would be getting married in the series’ final seven episodes, possibly to Johnny (Ben Lawson). Does that happen? Does Tully get married in Firefly Lane season 2 part 2?
Major spoilers ahead for Firefly Lane season 2
When we last left off with the series, Tully had just left to film a documentary in Antarctica, unaware that Kate was about to show up at her door after learning she had been diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer. The first half of the season dealt with the fallout between the longtime friends, and the cliffhanger left us in suspense about whether they can fix things.
No, Tully does not get married in the new episodes of Firefly Lane. However, she and Danny finally give their relationship a chance, thanks to significant encouragement from Kate. Tully and Danny “end up” together but don’t get married on-screen.
The marriage teased in the part 1 trailer is about Marah, who does get married in the series finale, precisely ten years after Kate passed away in 2006.
Technically, Tully did get married at one point. She and Max got married in the show’s first season, but their marriage was later annulled, and in the eyes of the law, an annulment means the marriage never happened. Tully even mentions her annulment at one point during the show’s second season, much to the surprise of Danny, who never knew that she had once been married before.
