Who's in the Belgian Netflix series?

Netflix recently added another crime drama series to its platform called Rough Diamonds. As of April 24, it’s currently sitting at the No. 9 spot on the top 10 TV shows list, meaning tons of people are watching it. If you’re also looking forward to watching this show, we must share with you who you can expect to see in it.

Rough Diamonds is a Belgian Netflix original series created by Rotem Shamir and Cecilia Verheyden. It’s an eight-part show that follows the lives of the Wolfsons, a well-known Jewish Ultra-Orthodox family within Antwerp’s diamond district.

When the youngest son of the family commits suicide, his estranged brother Noah, who had left the orthodoxy a long time ago to live a criminal life in London, returns back home to find out what made him do it. But once Noah arrives in Antwerp, he discovers that the family business is on the verge of crashing and burning. So Noah makes it his mission to save the family business and repair its reputation while also dealing with internal battles.

Kevin Janssens stars in the leading role as Noah Wolfson. You might recognize Janssens from his previous roles in the TV shows Koning van de wereld, The Emperor of Taste, De troon, Dag & nacht, Het goddelijke monster, Salamander, Vermist and Over Water. He also had roles in the movies The Ardennes, Revenge, Patrick, Close, The Chapel and Black Lotus.

Vincent Van Sande plays the role of Yanki Wolfson, Noah’s younger brother who takes his own life. Yanki is rumored to have had multiple gambling debts before his untimely death. Van Sande has previously had roles in the TV shows Zone stad, Chaussée d’Amour, Cordon, Gevoel voor Tumor, Glad IJs, Mijn Slechtste Beste Vriendin and Déjà Vu – Alles is Voorbestemd.
