Who voices who in this animated series?

The popular BioWare video game franchise is expanding this week with a new animated series called Dragon Age: Absolution. Set in Tevinter, Dragon Age: Absolution follows an elf rogue named Miriam and a group of mercenaries tasked with retrieving a dangerous mystical artifact.

Dragon Age: Absolution is a relatively short show at just six episodes, each 25 minutes long. So the cast is also small, with just eight main characters. But several of the actors tapped to star in this series have also participated in some of the Dragon Age games, so you might even recognize their voices!

Fans of the franchise will likely recognize several of the voice actors participating in the series. Kimberly Brooks, who voices the lead character, the elf Miriam, is best known for voicing Ashley Williams in the Mass Effect series. She also voiced Lanaya in Dragon Age: Origins, so she’s no stranger to the world.

Ashly Burch is another notable voice actress who brings Aloy to life in the Horizon Zero Dawn games, along with voicing Mel in The Last of Us Part II, and Tiny Tina in Borderlands.

She’s currently starring in the Apple TV+ comedy series Mythic Quest, where she also serves as a writer. Some of her other notable credits include Bee and Puppycat, Critical RoleThe Ghost and Molly McGee, and many more. Ashly plays the Qunari, Qwydion, in Dragon Age: Absolution.

One of the other exciting additions to this show’s cast is Sumalee Montano, who voiced the female Inquisitor in Dragon Age: Inquisition. In this show, she plays a character named Sapphira.
